Okay guys, I realized I jumped on the bandwagon a bit late on this one. Why did I not hear about this series sooner!!??

This book, A Court of Thorns and Roses, is the first book in the series, released in May 2015. The second one was released in May 2016. And the most recent one was released this past month, May 2017.

I followed all the hype of the recent release, A Court Of Wings And Ruin, on social media. And I knew I had to get cracking on this series.

Oh boy, this book is sooooo good!

I absolutely loved the Beauty and the Beast similarities throughout the book. It was perfect!

It was also the perfect combo of fantasy, mystery, romance, plot reveals, hardships, and (somewhat) happy endings for my liking! The characters were wonderful, the writing was wonderful, and the plot was perfect. And I truly don’t believe there were any holes in the storyline.

Apparently Sarah J. Maas made every book in the series a retelling of a different story. Since this one was a Beauty and the Beast retelling, I wanted to know what the story is for the next book in line, A Court of Mist and Fury. The wonderful people on goodreads pulled through for me: the next book is based on the story of Hades and Persephone.

I’ve got to admit, I know absolutely nothing of the Hades and Persephone myth but after looking it up I totally see how it fits. I am so excited!

As always, I recorded a book review video, but I botched up saying the title EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Apparently the title is hard for me to say…… 😀

Last Words:

As we speak, the next book is on the way!

I am excited to keep the discussion going with you guys!
